FINAL REFLECTION FOR WORLD LITERATURE 2020 - 2021

    This semester was unlike any other besides the fact that not only this course but all courses were online it was very different and took time to get used to. From the beginning this course was different from any other course I have taken because we had our own blogs. Out of the work we have done in this class I am most proud of the essay we did towards the beginning of the school year. I wish I would have been better at managing my time. Something I learned in this course that has been really useful is meditating. This semester I have read "Les Misérables", "The Nightingale"  and, "The Selection".  Three literary techniques that made the texts effective were  syntax, tone, and allusion.      This course was different from any other course I have taken since the beginning of the year since we each had our own blogs to post our thoughts on and to put up our work on. Les Mis Book 2 Chapter 7

 In book 2 chapter 7 Jean Valjean was sentenced to 19 years in prison. He was imprisoned 5 years for stealing a loaf of bread for his hungry family. The rest was for attempts of trying to escape. Prison turned Jean into a hurt man although he was being fair about his punishment he also knew that it was wrong.

Les Mis Book 2 Chapter 6

 In this chapter of Les Misérables its mainly about Jean Valjean's background. He has had a rough life and he has basically been on his own since his parents died. He only had his sister and her children.

Les Mis Book 2 Chapter 5

 In this chapter Jean Valjean asks questions but this doesn't make the Bishop think other wise of him.

Les Mis Book 2 Chapter 4

 In this chapter Jean Valjean was given a meal and after he finished he tells the Bishop how the others had better meals which was rude because he should have been thankful that he even had a meal.
